Pyramus and Thisbe By Ovid

This story is a precursor to Shakespeare’s “Romeo and Juliet,” and an archetypal tale of tragic young lovers killing themselves over a misunderstanding.Even in this tragic story, love is rewarded with a famous myth and a memorial in the red mulberries. This is another example of the deaths of beautiful youths being associated with plants.

Love, however, cannot be forbidden. The more that flame is covered up, the hotter it burns.
Love always find a way, it is impossible that two hearts were on fire should be kept apart. This story shows unique way of loving for they don’t see each other but they fall in love despite of family quarrels. In true life situation many couples had relationship through social media without seeing each other personally but their distance is not a hindrance of their love.
The story also emphasize that we should think before acting just like knowing what really happened. Being stupid sometimes makes our decision meaningless. So we should use our brain in every decision we make.
Love is not about being together all the time but having faith that in right time you will be together again. Long distance relationship measures how strong you are without the one you love.

The tragedy that unfolds between Pyramus and Thisbe once again suggests that it is not the job of the gods to step in and make everything happy. Although they often take active rolls in helping human characters, they also may take a more passive role as observers. Pyramus and Thisbe seem to have done no wrong to any of the gods, but find themselves as victims to cruel fate.

Baucis and Philemon By Ovid

The story is a proof of immeasurable power of the gods and also of the way they reward the humble and the pious. These couples live together for many years even though they have a simple living but they were contented of what they have. In connection, money is not the most important treasure here on earth as long as we are happy. We must be contented of what we have and share it to other people.  Those simple things we make is much appreciated by God even though he is not their but he returns it as a blessing. Giving without asking in return is the true essence of sharing.
The story also shows unconditional love because these couples are faithful to each other. Being faithful to the one you love is the sweetest feeling. Knowing that your partner is loyal and don’t want to be with other girls it’s just only you.

Cupid and Psyche By- Apuleius

“Love cannot live where there is no trust”
This is one of my favorite lines in the story that captured my heart. The story describes how Psyche accepted the challenge given by Hera in order to find Cupid her son. There are lots of moral lesson we can get by reading the story that’s why I found it interesting. It relates to true life situation when most of relationship failed because without trust. Trusting someone we love takes time to develop even married couples separate because of no trust. It’s not that easy to trust someone especially long distance relationship. Trust is a simple word but when someone break it won’t be easy to bring back what is lost.

The story also emphasize that Psyche that looks like a Goddess even compared to the Goddess of Love and Beauty Hera herself  was only admired not loved. It may not come that easily having a relationship with someone don't shows that nobody likes to be with us but we choose deserving person to be loved unconditionally. We must wait for the right person at the right moment because good things come to those who wait. We just have to wait patiently for God is just so busy writing the best love story for us.

The story also shows the jealousy of Psyche sisters that they even plan how to ruin their own sister’s life. Having those materials things is not about being popular but it’s about being contented of what we have. Maybe we don’t have what other people have but we should accept the reality that we are not born with the same lifestyle. As long as we work hard whatever our desires we can have it instantly but along the way. Being contented of God’s blessing is enough we may not have those material things but what’s important is the spiritual bond between God and ourselves. We must bare in mind that even the richest person in the world may not be happy because he/she maybe don't have a family. God treat us equally with proper use of his given resources we can transform our lives to a better lifestyle.

In a relationship we encounter problems that test how we can handle for things to work out. Nobody is perfect we made mistakes but it don’t mean we can’t forgive the one we love because of that mistake. Turning our imperfection to perfections is the best way of surviving long term relationship. I really admire the courage of Psyche because with those impossible challenges that she faced but she do
n’t give up just to win back Cupid again. Giving up of the one we love is not true love if we really love that person whatever happens we fight until the end. Even though Cupid left her but his heart remained to Psyche watching and helping her to pass the test that his mother gave to her. Still their love is unconditional without seeing each other physically but emotionally what they feel is everlasting love.
“I can spend the rest of my life searching for him. If he has no more love left for me, at least I can show him how much I love him”. It’s really amazing how to people with different world conquer each other just to be with each other. Problem only measures how brave enough we are to fight and defend our relationship. In the end, problem makes relationship stronger as facing it together. As the story ends they live happily ever after.
